Elizabeth Murray BSN, RN, LNCC
Elizabeth Murray BSN, RN, LNCC is a Legal Nurse Consultant providing expert analysis of standard of care in health law issues for the Executive Office for United States Attorneys, and is the Owner of Elizabeth Murray Consulting, LLC. She lives in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area. Elizabeth is a former US Army officer and has extensive experience in adult and pediatric Critical Care and Emergency nursing. She has been working in the legal nurse consulting field for 17 years, primarily in medical malpractice, personal injury, mass torts, and long-term care litigation. She served on the Department of Justice 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund early in her career as a legal nurse consultant.
She is a Past President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) after serving on the Board of Directors for six years, and a Vice Chair for the American Bar Association Health Law Section in the Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professionals Taskforce.
Elizabeth serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting, where she authors and coordinates appropriate manuscripts for the journal and is a peer reviewer for all submitted articles. Elizabeth has served as an item writer and subject matter expert for the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board since 2014 helping to create the nursing board certification in legal nurse consulting and set the minimum standard to pass the examination.
